Since Prop 8 has been overturned, I thought I'd have a party at Cherry. Free drinks to the first 50 people through the door tomorrow night. And half price drinks for everyone else after that. Every drink you could think of.
And a life time of free drinks to anyone who wants to marry me because of it.
But really, the whole repeal thing is such a liberation, and it's fantastic. I know we still have a lot to go through. We still have DADT in the military, and more simply every other injustice that we face. But this is definitely a step in the right direction and I'm so proud of everyone for not giving up.
We're celebrating down at Cherry right now, though obviously we're only open for a couple more house. But feel free to come down tonight. Tomorrow we'll have the death of prop-8 party. That'll be fun. I'm also thinking about trying out speed dating, maybe on a Monday night or something. For all us single boys and girls.

I love the Fourth of July. Any excuse to blow shit up, right? We had a good time at Cherry though. Everyone had lots of fun. There was some dancing on the tables though, and I think I might need some new ones. Tables aren't made like they used to, for some good old fashioned partying. Just one more thing in my big list of to-dos or whatever. I've still got all these fireworks to set off. Maybe I'll have a weekend after the fourth party where everyone wears the opposite of red white and blue. Though I'm not entirely sure what the opposite of that is.
The other week I got to learn how to ride a horse. And you know what I've determined by it? That I suck. And that all of the riding kind of makes me glad that I'm a lesbian. Now that all of the Gay Pride stuff is over, I'm not sure what to do with myself.
However we did get a fine for last night. And I know that they said we were being too loud, but I doubt it. It's just one more of those 'we don't want queers here' kind of things. Makes me so mad. But I'm not giving up. There is no way in hell they're shutting me down. Never.

I keep wondering if I'm going to have a busy weekend since it's Easter. Should I be open on Easter? I mean, not everyone is Christian. I'm not Christian. I might be open. Depends on if I feel like boogie-ing. I probably will, you all know me.
You know I was walking out to my car today, and I could have sworn I saw Mr. Feeny at the store next door. Weird.
It's only Thursday but I feel like doing something. Who wants to take me out? |
